Everyone has an interest; something that takes them away from the repetition of life’s daily routine.

For me, this has always been writing. Even though I sing off key I love to write songs. Even though my acting has taken me no further than Central Newfoundland, I love to write or take part in local plays.

For years my short stories and poetry have been conjured up from the heart, and by choice, been placed in a box to be dragged out and sporadically reread on rainy afternoons.

My husband Joe (and our Newfoundland dog Tara) and I live in Fortune Harbour in a rustic two story log home. Here the hills behind us are covered with grey rock face and evergreens. All the old familiar trails have been well beaten down from our hiking boots in summer and our snowshoes in winter. It is here, looking through our front window that we are blessed each day, with the ever-changing beauty of the harbour.
